I recently paired with OPI to do demos at a nightclub. (Girly night promo)

I chose OPI as I wanted to use a polish that was readily available to the public (oddly enough, it's one of the reason I don't use it in the salon), they kinda cut off my retail prospects.

Anyways OPI sent me some product and it was a huge success for both of us.

The club is very exclusive and only 30 metres away from the salon and you can see my salon from the balcony.

I brought in an old staff member from 10 years ago (Jacqui), bless her heart and we worked our butts off.

It was an amazing night and have already had many calls and booking from the night (I didn't do one acrylic nail all night), that will change next time ( I had popits itching to go).

Anyways, here's some pics of my cards for the night, the menu, results and links.

It was quite a change to do cuticle treatments and paintjobs all night, but a good cuticle treatment can blow them away.

I will structure the night differently next time (in 3 weeks) to allow for retail and much more fast acrylic work .... I'm busting to show them how natural acrylics can look.

Awesome, I love it! The flyers/cards are brilliant and the photos looklike everyone had a ball...... What a fantastic opportunity to show more people how fabulous their nails can look :green:.

Off topic but it's good to have you back posting, I've missed you xx

What a brilliant night it looked, love the flyer.

Missed you as well Carl:hug:..xx

Was that leopard/cheetah print in your dryer or lamp thing?
Go On ya good thing(Dustin, from Xtra factor)= fab!

The post wasn't actually about "ME", it was about things you could do (that I am doing) to improve "your" public profile.

It was heaps of fun, in my local area to get a new clientèle to fill in those little gaps.

I personally have always found this kind of event the best form of advertising & far more proudctive than the old leaflet drop or the sit in the salon & wait for people to drop-in approach! If the mountain won't come to Muhammad, then Muhammad must go to the mountain, so to speak!

I have done similar with skincare, aromatherapy, back/neck/shoulders massage & so forth, targetting places where my ideal client visits, and likewise have found it an enjoyable & profitable way to get new clients!

Thanks for posting Carl, a great idea and looks like it worked a treat.

is it a enamel dryer...??? looks fab whatever it is....i love the wording on the flyers...love the look of everything....and you can tell from the pics that the atmosphere was buzzin...good for you Carl

mmmm, this post has been dragged out of being locked ?

Just as another update, I have had 4 booking so far from the event (all for natural nails) . Next time I will concentrate on Acrylics and blow their minds with Popits.

Even though this was quite a bit of effort to do, all you really need is one permanent client and you are laughing.
I also know they can afford me (the club charges $AUS10 for a standard drink), if they can afford that, they can afford to get their nails done.

Yep, it's a nail dryer, at least it keeps em still for a few minutes, wait till you see my new one (just got it last week), it's like a spaceship, apparently it was $200 originally, I scored it for $10.45, it's quite cool looking.
When I get back to work i'll update.

Excellent Absolutely Fabulous! The wording is right up my street and the event is something I love to do - well done for getting tech's to think outside the bottle!
I love doing this type of work and urge everyone to give it a go
