So I was at it again.....and disclaimer:
If you are newly trained or uncertain in your skills, you should *alway* use the products and procedures of your chosen system.
OK, with that out of the way.....a month ago I ordered the Avolve trial kit and was blown away.....expecially by the clear l&P, the cuticle exfoliator and dehydrator. Avolve utilises a wet prep. The other systems I have used use wet prep (TT, NSI, IBD) and I took an EZ Flow course last month that utilises dry prep.
Had a client last month that I did 100% EZ Flow and she had extremely oily nail plates (17 years old)....I mean I would put on the EZ Flow dehydrator and within 3 seconds she was shiny again. I proceeded and she called me two days later that her nails were coming off.
I was having the same problem with myself too and figured I needed to work on my prep routine with dry prep being a new routine for the old dog.
SO, in order to confirm that it was *not* my prep routine with EZ Flow, I redid myself, one hand EZ Flow SOP and one hand utilising the Avolve cuticle remover and dehydrator.
Fed up, I redid her sculpts and I used the Avolve dehydrator and then applied. Those suckers are still on, three weeks later.
I gotta say that, once again, the Avolve has come out on top for me. I think its the wet prep and maybe the fact that I am used to that as opposed to the dry prep - as I'm so afraid with DP that I will scratch the nail plate or be too rough whereas with the wet prep, its a non issue regarding damaging the nail plate.
As always, your mileage may vary, just my .02 in the discussion.
Peace
Nancy
