Need a little colour help

So I usually colour my mums hair with 12/81 and powder 6% in foil she’s sick of having a little root still since the foils can’t reach far enough, if I painted 12/81 on her roots all over would it be really warm, her ends are really light and her natural base is around a 7 thankyou

Have you tried foam wraps? They are much thinner than foil, so it will allow you to get closer to the root. Also taking really fine sections will also help get closer to the root.
