Hi i dont know if this is the place to post things like this so im sorry if its in the wrong area... that said... for a while ive been looking to find a picture i saw on this website when i very 1st joined. What it was was a C curve white tip and the woman had put it on a bitten nail but had only placed the tips of each corner on the nail as it was so badly bitten. This was to elongate the nail bed but you could still see the skin... i wanted to know how she had done this but at the time didnt have a clue how to ask her. Now i cant find the image. The finish was beautiful but i thought that if you had left the skin showing then it would show underneith the acrylic.. i was so confused so im trying to find the image to see if she herself can tell me how she createed such a perfect nail with an elongated bed on a short nail!! or someone else could.. appreciate any sort of help.. THANKYOU X

I've found this pic (from Tracey Louise's albumn)

Is that what you saw?

She used an NSI masking pink to elongate the nail bed doing a fab job too

She does some beautiful nails, I'm sure she won't mind me putting these on here for you.

Not sure which pic it is, but the area that you would normally see the skin if you used a clear or pink l+p or gel would instead have been custom blended with a coverage powder, making this go down the nailbed, so that it looks like a lovely long nailbed. As it is a coverage powder, you would not see the skin where the gap between the tip and the natural free edge is. You need to try to match the powder (or gel) to the client's skin tone well so that it does not look like a stick on nail you can buy in the chemist. A umber of companies manufacture coverage powders in very natural skintones, which may or may not need just a little bit of tweaking to get them looking beautiful. xxx

That is a beautiful example you found Bev xx

thanks so much that is what i am on about but it was on somebody actual hand. your all such stars ive spent since 9 trying to find the image and then gave up resorting to this post!! would you have you put a sculptre foil under the nail to stop it sticking to the skin or ?! xx
