Hi guys.
New here just joined but have read quite a few threads on here. I am a qualified hairstylist from the UK, I also make wigs.

I made a wig for myself last week and lightened it up to an orangey/gold colour, I didn't want to lighten it again incase it starts to damage the hair too much, at this moment it's very warm!

I want it quite ashy or atleast very neutral and not so warm. I am a lover of Wella and only tend to use them so am hoping for recommendations with Wella, I was thinking of using Koleston Perfect 8/1 as I've used that before when doing ombré/balayage and it's came out beautifully, I also think 9/1 would look great.

Any recommendations for what would be best to use to get rid of the orange brassy tones? I want to use a permanent colour rather than a toner but any recommendations welcome.

I have tried to include picture but say it's too large, I have uploaded them to imgur here: http://imgur.com/u4igzuM

Did you manage to achieve the colour you wanted? X

I think you need to lift the wig a bit more if you want it to be an 8 x

You might want to try the wella "high lifts" it will lighten more without the harshness of a lightner...9/1 or 10/1,30 or 40 vol

I wouldn't use colour to lift this hair, it's probably had a lot of processing before it gets to you so would only be able to lift with lightner or Magma.
