hey guys,
ive never used a wax roller ive always used a wax pot and spatular which i trained in. But recently been reading through posts of people using rollers.. Do i need to train using this equiptment or can i jus se it for my clients. Also is it only hive that do them and does it only come with warm wax as im thinking of investing in one if it helps with timingg just thinking if its a good idea :)

I am in the same situation as yourself, what i am going to do is go to the Beauty North show with lots and lots of hairy bits and get waxed by the different systems and choose which one i like the best.

there are soooo many threads abut roller waxing and the products. that should help you research,

i have 2 hive hand held rollers, and i use the hive honey cartridges. i love them!!

I'm another Hive fanatic too!

There are a few brands who stock the roller system, but the two off the top of my head are Hive and Clean & Easy

You don't HAVE to train specifically for the roller system if you already have a waxing qualification. However, it might be an idea to get somebody experienced or attend a one-day training course if you are at all unsure

There are literally hundreds off threads about this so when you have a few spare hours (!) have a read through

HTH xx

hi
i didn't train in the roller but i brought one thought it would make my life easy must admit i use it for the legs, its great nice and clean but i still use the pot for most things and i have to admit there's no time difference I'm just as quick with both (had plenty of practice)and its not cheaper but i still use both but i will only use pot wax for eyebrows (sorry I'm a :) perfectionist).

XXXLXXX

I had only used warm wax and spatula unti my salon invested in the rollers. They were salon systems and not expensive. I was a bit apprehensive at first but had a go on another therapist and found it so easy!!! I find them best for larger areas eg legs and arms but still stick to regular wax for bikini etc. You dont need to take further training as far as Im aware but you might be as well to check.
