Hi,

I need to replace my acrylic brush and was hoping to get some advice and recommendations please before investing.

I'm currently using the brush that came with my college kit - not sure which brush it is but the hairs have started sticking out here and there at right angles.

There have been a few threads lately about brushes but I’m not sure if you can only use certain brushed with certain systems. I use - NFU-Oh.

So what I’m wondering is:
  • what brush would you recommend and why?
  • where is the best place to buy?
  • what attributes should I look for
If only there was a 'try before you buy' with brushes!

Thanks in advance.

If you are using Nfu oh then I would buy one of their brushes. I find that their products respond to their own brushes much better and it is much easier to manage the product. If you have not been using their brushes you will find such a difference. Also their brushes are a reasonable price for the quality!

I use a couple of different brushes, am actually a brush addict, but I use an Nfu oh brush when using their products and a beautiful pink metallic Entity brush, expensive, but worth every penny, when using other acrylic products.:D:D

Thanks so much for your reply. LOL, at you being a brush addict :D

So i'd be best to stick with a brush from the same nail system, that's good to know, thanks.

Can you recommend any of their brushes in particular? Affiniti Nail have a few ranging from £23.50 to £36.50. I just want to make the right choice before forking out.

I think the brush we were supplied with in our kit might just be a cheap one. Also the NFU-Oh ones all seem to come to a point, the kit brush was more rounded at the end, do you think it'll be difficult to get used to?

NSI do a fab one, I use it everytime I do acrylic. Royal Precision #8, it returns to a point every single time. If hairs sticking out from your brush, cut them off at base do not pull them out. Invest in a really good brush and you cant go far wrong, do not buy the cheapies, you'll find smile lines so much easier and working with the product. x
