Hi everyone.
Im looking for a bit of advice, i have a new lady booked in monday for a maintenance on her nails. She has been going to the local NSS salon!!!!!! I saw her last night (old friend), had a look at her nails and oh my god i have never seen nails as bad in the whole 5 years i have been doing them.
Some of them have separated from the nail bed, not completely, but her little finger nail is completely separated down to the cuticle, but is still firmly attatched at the cuticle.

I have never had this problem before, and i would be really gratefull of some advice on what to do with this nail. There is no infection present at the minute, and this nail is really long so i know it needs to be cut right back, but should i remove all acrylic cut it down and leave it to grow out. Or put an overlay on, i really dont know what to do for the best!!!!
Thanks will look forward to your opinions

I personally would advise to remove all of them completely and start with a brand new set, there's nothing worse than trying to correct someone elses mistakes. Sounds yukky!

Hayley I'm going on the understanding and advice from the other more qualified techs on the site(I'm re-training so haven't come across it yet) that you soak of completely ,access the condition of her own natural nails ..if they are OK go ahead with the nail prep and do a full new set ,it is a long process tho . I'm sure other girls with a bit more experience of them will help you out...hope this helps.

I wouldn't overlay or enhance any nail that had nail separation right down to the cuticle...it need to be made as short as possible and left alone to heal and re-attach itself.
