Hi guys,

Just wondered if any of you had tried the new formula Edge Soak-Off gels? I have ordered one from the Nail Company to try, but I have now read not-so-good things about their old gels!

Also, can anyone recommened soak-off gels in general? I don't mind using the normal gel, but I can sometimes be quite heavy handed on the ol' nail file, and I think my clients should be allowed to keep their natural nail for themselves!

Thanks for your help all,

D* xXx

i am afraid i dont have any information on edge brand of gels.

but in terms of soak off gels, i can recomend them.
i use lechat nobility gel and have great results with it and know a lot of techs that have converted from other brands too.

they are great for people who 'don't believe in false nails'
the one i use is also strong enough to sculpt with and use with tips with the correct technique, which is excellent if a client has a broken natural nail and wants them to all be the same length.

some brands recomend you soak off with every application but i maintain mine for about 5 times before i remove and replace.

they are superb on toes too. because a soak off gel is a lot more flexible than traditional nail products they last for ages on feet even if they are worn with closed shoes or boots. using harder products, the nails may crack when exposed to this kind of environment. on toes they last around 6 weeks and then will need maintenance because of new growth.

I've really got into soak off gels at the minute I have never really been a fan of really long nails.

I use EzFlow Alternatives, lots of colours, easy to wear and to apply. You can infill them as well

Also great for toes as they are flexable

Thanks for your replies guys, really helpful. Did you have to do a conversion course to use these? I'm really keen to move over from 'normal' gels to soak-off gels.

Well, my pink uv lamp :green: and Edge soak-off arrived today. I'll have a play tomorrow evening or at the weekend and see how I go.

Has anyone tried the NSI Illusion gels? I'm trained in NSI so would be keen to use them if they are good!

Thanks again all,

D* xXx
