I am thinking of working from home and mobile.

Nails & Beauty.

What insurance will I need?
I have been asked to go into a hair salon who have a fantastic client base and have a room upstairs, but it is going to cost me alot in travel, set up, etc. plus it is too far from my kids school incase of emergencies.

Advice would be great!

try insurants we have a salon and only pay £15 month for public and employee liability

Firstly, you will need Public, Product & Treatment liability cover to protect you and your clients. The Guild offers £2 million of cover, and you can find out more on www.beautyguild.com or by calling us on 0845 2177 383. If you quote Geek as a referral code when joining you will get a £10 discount.

You may also want to look at stock and equipment cover. Most companies offering public liability can also offer this.

If you are working from home, you will need to inform your house insurers. Some insurers do not permit you to work from home, and can cancel your policy straight away, so my best advice would be call and say you are THINKING of working from home. This should give you time to shop around if necessary.
