hiya I have just been offered a job doing some saturdays for a few hours at a health spa, I will be doing just manicures because of the time it takes to do artificial nails. (I have 6 clients to do on my first day there, but it sleeps up to 14 people so will get more clients sometimes) Do you have any suggestions to make it go well and successful?:)

this sounds like a great start. well done.

i would try to get some polish practice and work hard on the massage.
these 2 parts of the manicure are what makes a lasting impression on the client and give them the most benifit of having a treatment done professionally.

work calmly too as this will in turn impart a calming feeling to the client.

best of luck.:)

well done! I am sure you will be fine things always seem more scary than they actually are good luck anyway

thanks ladies! i arent really that nervous i just want to look organised lol :)

i work at a hotel spa too and it gets hectic let me tell you, but best thing is to just RELAX, cos ur client will pick up on your own fluster and not relax. U want her to be so impressed she tells all her pals. Yes i think doing a GOOD polish job is CRITICAL cos when she is gone home the polish which lasts is going to be in her mind - o value for money i like this.
Also with practice you get your time down dont push yourself too hard just do a good job, be organised have everything u need on ur mani desk - do not get up all time o i need this i need that firstly it is annoying secondly it wastes time!

hi thanks for that - yes i always have everything out ready - it makes you look a lot more organised - I always set things out in order that i am going to use them too so I know what i am doing without having to think! :)
