A ghost shadow can be seen over the stress area of the finished nail -- which looks semi-opaque -- due to incomplete blending of the tip before the application of the overlay. OK?

It's so funny that there are all these terms out there and none of them were used when I took my course. It makes me feel silly! But, I know what you are explaining....mine were awful when I first started (finished in April). Now, I no longer see the line and I'm getting better at not having any lifting at the cuticle. I'm still having problems when appling my tips and getting them to fit perfectly. I sometimes have them start to lift at the sidewalls. I think I customize them to much on the sides and then they aren't big enough.....keep practicing...I know!
