Hi Guys,
I have just found this site and think it is amazing, i have been qualified in Acrylics for just 3 months and have done French White, Natural, Weekend Nails and White and Pink Acrylic. I usually use NSI. I have aquired some NSi opal and i am dying to try it but i am confused. Do i apply it onto the tip then do i apply pink or clear up to and slightly over the smile line or different to how i think. I sort of think i have it but then loose confidence with my thinking. My nail course was an intensive 3 day one and i didnt cover this i just assume it is the same as i don for pink and white. Help very much appreciated. Merry Christmas xx

The NSI opal is a special effect powder,
you can mix a small amount of it with any other colour that you want,

so you would get an empty pot and put a tea spoon of white powder in the pot and then add a quarter of a teaspoon of the opal, close the lid and give it a really good shake to mix it up then use as usual,
(white is just an example, you can do this with any colour)

or you can do the nails as normal then pick up a small bead of clear and dip the clear bead into the opal and apply this to the whole nail to give an effect over the nail design that you have done hth

hi welcome to the site x

Great, seems more clear to me now (or should i say opal) Thanks for taking the time out to reply. Also i am doing acrylics but have Glaze and Go and a UV lamp in what situations could i use this as i am told it leasves a really good hard shine. I tried it on my sisters nails over top coat and it didnt seem to set. Perhaps i may need a new bulb! Thoughts and ideas very much appreciated xx

i am still training but glaze 'n' go goes straight onto the l&p, not over topcoat...

sorry if i have mis understood what you have meant, as i say im still training!

:)

ok then for your glaze & go,
apply your acrylic as you would normally, then refine to shape,
once you are happy with the shape brush off remaining dust and get client to wash their hands,
then apply the glaze & go to one hand and put under your lamp, i think it is a 2 min set time but it will tell you that on the bottle,
then do same with other hand,
this will give a very long lasting shine and will help to seal all edges too,
remember if you are going to soak off any nails with this on you will have to buff off all the glaze & go for the remover to work hth

Cool thanks for you help guys, nice hair Al xx

I use IBD gel at the moment.. but i hate wipping off the top sticky layer... can you pleae tell me if the Glaze and Go needs to be cleaned ?..

Thanks
Mel

glaze 'n' go doesn't have a tacky layer to remove :)
