Hi i have just recently been trained in doing spray tans using tantruth, but im very worried with the fact that it always seems to run?
Can anyone give me point by point information on how to give the perfect spray tan without any mistakes?
I am very nervous as i have just started out,any tips and advice would be well appreciated!

Firstly I think the best thing to do would be to go back to your trainer and ask for advice.
Next I would look at your gun-depending on the one you have you should be able to turn the dial down so not as much solution comes out and this in turn should stop the running. It could also be a result of you being new to tanning and simply not moving fast enough across the skin-thus spraying too much solution on each area.

A running tan generally speaking isnt associated with the solution itself and generally its one of applying to much solution(or that the customer has residue moisturiser on the skin...but that's a whole different story to be told)

In an ideal scenario you need to target using 35-50ml solution to obtain the best spray tan outcome verses application cost.

Again and generally speaking its not unusual for a beginner to use far more and it simply takes confidence building through usage and gaining trust that the solution you use will in fact create a tan outcome.
Spray 6-8 inches away from the skin and turn that gun down.

If you want to PM me your addy I will happily send you our tanning technique guide which may be of some assistance to you.

Don't let your confidence get knocked..keep practicing and turning that gun down

hey :)

i use tan truth spraytan solution and used to get the running problem when the solution was really cold on the clients or i was standing too close :)

i would try turnin your gun down and then standing a wee bit back from what you are used to standing and then hopefully that helps :) xxx

A few other people have said im possibly standing to far away and are therfore using too much product which is causing it to run!
Any tips you could give me would be appreciated.I am very nervous about mucking up someones tan.
Could you possibly give me a step by step to follow?
Thanks x

ok i have just went next to my tent and i normally stand about a foot away from my tent and they are obv standing in the middle of the tent and that seems to work for me.

are you going over the same part of skin a number of times?? because you might be spraying the body too much and then it just starts to run off the body?

step by step.. my client gets unchange and then into the tent.. they stand with their back to my self and i spray all down back and back of legs.. then i turn the client to the side with their arm straight up in the air and i spray down the arm, down the side and down the side of leg, then the same on the other side, then turn them to the front and spray the chest, tummy and front of the legs and feet, then hands and then face..

I think that whatever Gun you are using it is probably set too high a volume, back it off a bit, I have used many Tanning liquids but never had a problem with tantruth running, my tip to you is take your time, dont be afraid, I find its best to put too little on then you can respray if the customer needs more, and always have your mit ready to wipe the bits that have too much on, lots of my girls have had tans before and they tell me that they have not had anyone use the trusty mit
hope i have helped :D
