Hey fellow geeks, I am soon to be qualified in gel enhancements and wondered what your advice would be in regards to getting clients to try this service... Did you go straight into charging full price or due to being newly qualified in this treatment would it be best to have an opening offer? Would it be a good idea to try to drum up business now to get bookings for once I am qualified in this treatment or wait until I have finished training and then start informing clients?

Looking forward to hearing your advice! X

Are you new to nails in general? If not then go straight to full price imo. Otherwise maybe full price + a small free gift.

Already have a manicure qualification and do gel polish. But have been a bit out of practice and just getting back into it all!

Congrats on your soon-to-be certification, RB1! That's exciting.

When debuting a new service, you can do a discount for the first X people (you decide how many people...10...15...25...whatever).
Just don't say that the reason for the discount is because you're new at doing it.

Instead, frame the discount as a celebration of your new service. And then the discount will give you the opp to get your first several people served ASAP.

Which is a prime opportunity to take before / after photos (since people's faces won't be shown, many people may be okay with this) and get testimonials.

Which you can use to send your email list and on social media (wherever you have an audience) to get more people coming in.
