With the year coming to an end that time is fast approaching to think about changes we feel we should/ would like to make.
I decided on mine the other week when i got a red bill in, it wasnt red because i couldn't afford it, i just hadn't got around to paying it as i kept forgetting and losing the payslip, it was only a silly amount. I do that alot and often pay charges worth more then the bill itself.
So, my new years resolution will be...

1) Organise myself- paperwork, bills, time, money. This leads to my number 2....

2) Save save save! My wedding will not pay for itself!

3) Get out of my day job and into my new vocation!!

If i can just manage these then the next year will be a good one for me! And they are all (almost!) realistic!

What will your resolutions be- if any?! Do you think they are realistic? Do you think you will stick to them??

After many many years of making new year's resolution I have finally made one and that is "not to make one LOL"

Well this is what I said last year,

1) Pay off my credit card completely (I'm almost there!)
2) Spend more time on my therapy business
3) Get a new full time job to support my fledgling therapy business and to achieve 1)
4) Join a dancing class (I love Strictly Come Dancing!)
5) Go and see my friend in Spain
6) Learn an bit of Spanish which will help with 5)!

So I didn't do 1) at all! Still chipping away at that one .... I did better at 2), gained some more clients, learning a new therapy, done a couple of pamper evenings and doing IHMs at a homeless shelter over Christmas. I've failed at 3), but I'm blaming the recession! I started doing rock n roll dancing for 4) but it sort of petered out, need to get back into it. I achieved 5) though, went on a lovely holiday in June and I'm also doing a Spanish course so I've got 6)!
3 1/2 out of 6 isn't so bad :)

So new ones/continuation of old ones

1) Pay off that damn credit card once and for all
2) Keep plugging at my therapies in my spare time
3) Keep looking for new full time work
4) Stick at a dance class
5) Stick at the learning Spanish
6) Spend more time with people who make me happy and less with people who don't :)

I hope that 2010 is the year that I sell my salons and retire.
I want to get all the persians looking tiptop.
I want to pay off my mortgage.
I want to nurture my friendships, as I have neglected them.
I want to live a simpler, less pressured life.

At the beginning of 2008 I was thoroughly miserable and my new year resolution was to sort it out... by the end of that year I was divorced, had given up smoking and had relocated 160 miles from London (where I was born and raised etc) to Yorkshire (which is fabulous).

Now... I'm a tad miserable again (own fault) so whilst I did not make any resolutions last January, I think that this year I'm going to make a few again... so...

1. Get new salon open and (hopefully) in profit (or as near as I can).
2. Sort out relationship (am obviously not very good at them).
3. Make some new friends (I still know hardly anyone up here).
4. Give up smoking again! (so angry at self over this).
5. Sleep more, read more, walk more.

This is a good idea for a thread... now my resolutions are in 'writing' I feel more obliged to stick with them... after all, you've all seen them now!

to make a big push for my professional development.

I HAVE to make changes this coming year. I didnt think I would but I do. So, I am going to bite the bullet and just do it. then after the dust has settled, I am going all out to make myself proud of who i have become.

 Lose weight !!!

Not work as hard so I have more time at home

My new year's Resolution

  1. I will study my lessons to get high grades
  2. Always sleep early
  3. Have a girlfriend
  4. To have a prosperous life

I'll be making the same one I break every year....to lose weight. One of these years... :irked:

My new years res are:

1. be more business savvy, up to now I have just gone where the wind blows me, now I need to wise up

2. prioritise my commitments, a bit like no. 2. I have irons in the fire, perhaps need to sort out which ones don't need to be there anymore

3. switch off computer sometimes and read more

4. instead of working 24/7 in my head, step away from the business a bit, sometimes a break helps you have better clarity

5. smile more | enjoy family | relax

6. find that elusive hangover cure

I really, really want to go back to Texas. Gonna have to save hard all year :(

To go and see a doctor to get some health issues sorted

To do more for and to see more of my family and friends if I can

To look after even more, the best husband any woman was ever blessed to have.

To have more fun and free time

To start dating again after many years of choosing not to

To see my lovely friends more often

To expand my business

Ok this is a random one. To get my tonsils taken out. If necessary i will pay to have laser surgery on them. Anyone who has bad tonsils will know why I want it done. Its not just the tonsilitis its the difficulty swallowing the horrible taste everything. They have to go ha ha xxxx

Some really good ones here! One i think i need to take heed of, hippychicks- turn off the computer more!

To start living my life to the full again

To keep healthy and loose weight

To look into doing some voluntary work (charity based) so I am in a better position to do paid work

anne xx

i have the same ones every year !!
make at least a pound more than i spent last year is no 1!! and to
make more new friends than i did last year is no 2 !!:lol:

This year is gona be a new start without my family so first step will be some kind of hostel then keep tryin for a job that covers the cost of living and not just my petrol money there and back... it would be so much easier to be independent if anyone would pay me more than £5 an hour...

But the good thing about new year's resolutions are that you've got a whole year to fulfill them!!

Well mine depend on what my o.h. does.
If we move to Chicago.
