Hi Geeks,

Im just about to start a mobile spray tanning business, where I am happy to do it at peoples houses or for me to set up the tent at my house.

My question is should I be declaring any income etc? I will only be doing it as a part time job as I already have a full time one

I'd really appreciate any advice

thanks

Yep you will need to declare it, as it will still be taxable.

Think you need to ring HMRC to see how the best way of doing it is, think you would need to be self-employed as well as employed.

Give HMRC a ring, they'll point you in the right direction!

Yes, of course you will.

If you contact your the revenue and let them know your intentions, they will then send you a tax return every year for you to declare you earnings. You can do this online now.

The other thing to remember is that you can also claim for your expensed so any kit you buy, travelling etc will be deducted from the money you take so you will only pay tax on your profit. :D
