Hi all,

Just a bit of help please! Can I ask you all when you do your patch test? :irked: Do you ask the client to pop in a couple of days before their 1st appointment? Not sure how to approach this!

Thanks! :green:

A patch test for what ?!?!

Hi and welcome to the site xxx

If its a patch test for Eyelash Tinting then I do at least 24 hours before some come up to a week before the treatment hths

Hi & welcome to the site xx

A patch test for eyelash\brow tint or eyelash perm ,is done by applying small spots of the product for example one spot of glue\waving lotion\perming lotion for eyelash perming and one spot of tint mixed with the oxident for the tinting to either behind the ear (not on the ear or lobes but the occipit) or on the fold of the forearm and ask client to leave it alone for 24 hours for any reactions...but you have to be Qualified to do Eye treatments and i took a look at your profile and it says you only do Nails..never heard of patch tests for Nail enhancements as you can't put products like L&P on the skin, maybe other girls will help you on that score.. hope this helps

:) Hi I have just looked at your profile and it seems you only do nails, you do not do patch test for this as there is nothing to test on, you are not putting anything on the skin, and as nails are not a living tissue the product will not harm the client, but then you would know this from your training.

Hiya all,

Thanks for your replies. I haven't started my training yet but have been looking up the sort of things I will be studying and it was just one of the questions that popped into my head.
I'm sorry if you felt like I was wasting your time.

You werent wasting anybodies time at all! How are you supposed to learn if you dont ask questions.

What is it you are going to be training in and what product/treatment are you thinking of the patch test for?

Good luck with your training.
