Newbie staff & training courses??

Hia all

I've taken on a new member of staff as a part time trainee she is really keen to get into nail ext tanning and lashes I know the nails go without saying re sending her on the appropriate course but do i need to pay to send her for the tanning courses or can I train her myself?? Don't want to spend a lot of money on courses that are not needed (first time emoyi g someone so all new)

i dont know from an employers point of view

i know that when i was a junior i was inhouse trained in tanning etc, was inhouse trained in nails etc , did ppl at home etc until i got to a certain standard, by the time i got there , to the stage of being "floor worthy"i had proved that i was determined, put out of work hours in to become better
i also had to sign papers to say that if i left within 6months etc i would have to repay the training fees my employer
