Hi - has anyone got any ideas on how to stop nail nibbling other than by wearing enhancements and those 'Stop n Grow' solutions. I've got a client who has acrylics but dosn't wish to have them all the time but when she's not wearing them she nibbles the skin and the side of the free edge so much that she's actually changed the shape of her natural smile line and it can be quite difficult to get her free edge into a suitable shape to take a tip. She's tried loads of commercially prepared stuff and it dosn't deter her at all! Heard the other day to dab tea tree oil on the area has anyone else heard this?

Quite often a nibbler isnt aware that shes biteing her nails till they are all gone. Its a harder habbit to break than smoking because they are in a very :p handy :p place, and are free of charge.
One method is to get your lady to rub cutticle oil into her nails everytime she gets the urge, or a high scented hand cream  both taste revolting

marks and spences do a really good anti nail bitting product, its is working slowly with my daughter better as it does not wash off so one application per day is usually enough hpoe this helps we have a reall good selection in our cupboard.
