I want to go into mobile when qualified and good enough, but i have a few questions.....

1. where to get insurance
2. prices for treatments
3. where to get products and what is the best
4. and a name

ive thought of a few names but please give me ideas, but nothing cheesy hehehe

Helen Elizabeth (my name)
Simply elegant
elegance
Beautiful jewels

Sorry for so many questions but i want a successsful business1
Thank you xxx

A few mobile insurers, Salon gold, The guild, Abct if you do a google search you should find more.
Who did you train with hun, will you not be getting your supplies from them?
prices are genrally set by area so will vary, so check what everyone is charging but never go too cheap eg L&P in my area ranges from £20-£35 so I charge £30 also depends on what products you use, I use quality products so charge accordingly.
I like Elegence, but you have to think also for yell.com listings etc my business name starts with A so usually comes up in the first 3 hth xx

i love the name elegence. What about perfection?

Hi there,

I've just finished my Nail Tech course.

I did the Man/Ped last September in the evening for 17 weeks and then I did the Nail Tech Course from Feb until now. I think most colleges stipulate that you have to do the Man/Ped course before you can do the Nail Tech course.

I strongly recommend that you do an evening course rather than a fast track course you see advertised. I, personally don't think 17 weeks is enough. There is so much more to it than just sticking nail tips on. You have to learn about nails, skin and you have assignments to complete and a lot of research to do.

My advice would be to speak to your local college and see what courses they are offering and avoid at all costs these companies who promise you, you can become a Nail Technician within a week.

Good luck with whatever you decide to do and keep us posted.

xx

Hi, thanks for reply.
I really like elegance to but the prob is there is loads with that name on the net.
i am training with essentail nails its a home course then going to college to do the fake nails.
Actual the products they use smell gorgoeus but didnt know what everyone else uses.

I'm doing an NVQ 2 in Nail Services, including mani/pedi and fibreglass/silk extensions. This is at my local college and it's 3 hours a night, 2 nights a week for a full school year etc.

In September I hope to do NVQ 3 in l&p and gels. And then possibly go on to CND if I can afford it. :o

ARG fake nails...... lol we call them enhancements or extensions hun :D well check out some of the threads there are a wide range of products to choose from I would advise once you have done your college course in enhancements to do a conversion course with the likes of CND, NSI, YOUNG NAILS, but to name a few. I went with CND and there products, service and training is amazing hth xx
