Hi i have just passed my exams and am well into getting started properly but i have so many questions, i wonder if anyone can answer this one for me. When applying a french tip they don't require any filing, so is it possible to buy natural looking tips that also don't require filing.
Thank you in advance

If i have read your question right you are talking about white tips,
why do you think they don't need filing ?
if you don't remove the shine from the surface of the tip the product will not adhere to it correctly and you will end up with product break down (problems with the nails)

the only natural tip i know of that does not need blending or the shine removed is creative performance tips,
these are well less and pre etched hth

After reading the reply from Loubylou I think I may have misunderstood your question correctly, as I do not file the 'top' of the white tips as this would mean scratches are left, I would file the end and sides though.
I use pro-impressions natural tips that are well-less and do not need blending.

proimpressions do a fab range of tips that do not need blending.
Be carefull that you dont get into the habit of only using these as they don't suit evrybody, but I'd say that I use them on 99% of my clients including those that have an extended nail bed.

White tips do not need blending...just a light buff of the surface to remove the shine.

Creative do a well less, no blending and the shine has been removed tip called performance....its all done for you.

The scratches are not visible once you have overlay-ed in clear gel or L&P,
the shine needs to be removed even from white tips hth

i personally dont file the shine off a white tip if im doing acrylic nails (gel i do), and cant say ive ever had any product breakdown. i just file the tips side walls and length and apply my product.

Hi there. INM (International Nail Manufacturers) carry a line of Exact tips. They are well less and come in white, natural and clear. They do require a "buff" to take off the shine before capping - but there is no blending needed. Hope this helps

hi, i picked up this thread and I have a similar question...I refer to the blending...on a welless white tip..if I file the sides, will I not ruin the smileline?...

sorry if the ? is silly...

also if I do a full set on a client using white tips...what would u do when the refill is do?...take off and start again?...could I refill applying white powder to lower the smile line?

also could u post some sites u use to get ur tips from?

THANKS!!! :)

Yes you can rebalance using white powder over the whole of zone 1. Now if you can do that then why use white tips at all?

also could u post some sites u use to get ur tips from?

THANKS!!! :)

You can buy Creative PERFORMANCE tips from the CND london distributor.

so I am filing the sides only not over the smile line correct?

you said : Now if you can do that then why use white tips at all?...I thought about it but I just want to be able to use white tips, I never tried them before and I want to know how to do them as well...also is a lot quicker...for me anyway as my smile lines take me little longer..and never perfect :-( ... but I m practising so I ll get there.

Can I ask you another thing? I done my conversion course in Acton with Keta Patel and purchased products from the shop. Is it possible to go there to buy products or is it for people on the course only? Shall I only do it online?

Thanks Geeg!! :hug:xxx

Yes, just the sides and not over the smile line.

Of course please go to the shop any time you want products. Otherwise you need to ring and place an order which you can pick up or have sent to you. They do not sell on line.

great! thanks so much...I m going there on Saturday!!!
