No toenail

Can anyone tell me if there is a product that can be used to apply an artificial toenail directly to the skin? No piece of nail left after surgery.

Only thing I could think of would be to find some kind of safe skin glue and use a false nail when needed?
I have a friend with a condition where she only has a tiny toenail. She sticks on press ons when it's summer but she does have a bit of nail to stick to.
