Non- salon based hairdressing is it possible or a pipe dream?

I’ve been hairdressing for 17/18 years on and off salon employed and mobile and I always come back to the salon but I find I’m fed up with salon hairdressing but I love the work and craft of hairdressing. Does anyone know if it is possible, with a good work life balance, to work in a non salon based role!

When you say non salon based does you mean mobile? Or like work from home kind of set up?
