Hi All, I am really frustrated I trained with CND last november on a foundation course, I have been working on my own since but still feel my work isnt improving. Can anyone reccommend what to do?

Angie

1: Get out your cards of practice nails from your Foundation and you will see how much you've improved......
2: Book some 1:1 with a CND educator working on the areas you feel need improving - best £100ish (for 2 hours) you can spend

You will have improved, but as you improve you get more critical of your work! Trust me, 4 years in I still look very critically at each set I do.......

Thanx for that Vetty. By the way your website is fab!!!

Have you spoken to your educator...? You chose a great company to train with but it doesn't stop there...they will help and support you all the way.

You're welcome, and thanks - I did it myself and I am quite pleased with it!!!

A Foundation course is just the beginning of your education ... very few make it to the salon with only 5 days of learning behind them .. nor does anyone promise that you will. At CND we always state that learning is progressive and that means more classes to cover specific things; areas where you want to improve like your zone 3 (IE skill building classes).

A great addition to your technique would be to get and WORK WITH a copy of the book 'nailclass' by gigi rouse. It should help you loads with your application techniques ... that is what the book is for. It teaches you the subtleties of how to do the job beautifully and efficiently.

'nailclass' is not expensive and if you do a search on the title 'nailclass' you can read endless testimonials to the efficacy of this book from loads of nail techs that it has helped to improve.

I'll vouch for that! I can't praise the nailclass book enough. Get yourself a copy Angie and you won't be disappointed

I found a skill builders class with CND and the nail class book invaluable to gaining more skills,
i took my skill builders class 1 week before opening my salon and im still there now 18 month later, proof that it works hun
