So I live in Colorado in the united states, its been off and on cold to hot weather.... so its still quite dry climate!
I have almost always had dry hands and cuticles, can't miss a day of lotion on my hands or they're just horrible :/
Anyway, as a nail tech myself this is just embarassing and I must admit I was never religious about putting my solar oil on. For the last month I absolutely have been at very very minimum once per day.
The last week or so its been 2 to 4 times per day. I have a pinkie bottle at work, home car.... everywhere lol.

When is the best time to apply? I always see people apply at night, but it seems it'll just be wiped off the second I touch my pillow since I sleep with my hands under one.

I love solar oil and rally want to believe in it, but its hard to promote it when I am not seeing ANY results.....

You have to be diligent with it and remember to apply it atleast twice a day. i apply solaroil whenever i feel like my hands are dry (i use it like a lotion :p). i always make sure to apply in the morning and at night, i sleep with my hand under my pillow and it never rubs off, just make sure your not apply soo much that you it doesn't absorb into you surrounding cuticle/skin

keep at it and you WILL see a difference :)

I have had multiple clients visit Colorado and every one of them have shown the same thing. Yalls climate will suck the moisture out of u! Lol solar oil should be your best friend. Apply is constantly. I apply mine at least 3-4 times a day and I'm in the southern humidity of MS. another trick I have learned from myself is to apply the solar oil UNDER the nail first and then rub into surrounding skin. The tip of the nail is 1.) the oldest and 2.) the most exposed to the elements/chemicals/abuse.

Good luck!

If you have really dry skin then cucumber heel therapy will also help immensely, use it after solar oil as heel therapy is a barrier cream that will help shield the skin from drying

Doug schoon himself uses it as a hand cream...

Just to add: at night, apply about 10 minutes before going to bed. It'll absorb into the skin/nails and you won't have to worry about it getting on your pillow, etc. :)
