I am currently using Nouveau Extra Volume Up lashes and am thinking of trying their Silk Lashes....Has anyone used them? And what lengths do most of you use...I have 8/10/12 but don't know if its worth investing in some 14s??Also,the adhesive....I am using their ultrabond and am tempted to try the quicker drying professional but just wanted some feedback before I spend £31.00 on a bottle. How have people found it?And I still can't seem to do a set in much under 2 hours...how do some therapists do a full set in an hour??Will I ever get this quick?Been doing them over 6 months and can't seem to get anywhere near that quick!!Would love some tips!!Xx

Hi

i have just started using the silk lashes for doing my Nouveau express lashes, remember that these are 0.25 thick so may not be suitable for some clients with thinner lashes when doing a full set of nouveau lash extensions as these are heavier/thicker. i use the volume up and extra volume up also and in various size from 6mm right up to 15mm and find it great to experiment. I have only being doing lashes for 4 months and have just completed my masters with Nouveau but i am loving them. as for the adhesive, i use both pro bond 5 and 10 and have also mixed these together and finding it works well. HTH, cheers:wink2:

Hi
Sorry to change the thread but I trained with Nouveau Lashes & I've been doing lashes for approx 18mths. I am considering doing their Masters training, as lthomson has done the Masters course, can she let me know if you actually learn much more from the course.
Do you actually get to grips with the new techniques such as:
Express lashes - how long is it taking to do these and are they looking good?
Open eye technique
Bottom lash application
I look forward to receiving your feed back

Thanks fellow lashers!!Thats really helpful. How much do you charge for a full set and how long is it taking you?x

HI

the masters course was good, we started off by trouble shooting, as a group then went on to learn more about the application of colour lashes, gems, glitter, feathers etc. Bottom lashes and open eye was also taught. you then had the opportunity to practice this. the afternoon was all about the Nouveau Express and were shown how to apply a full set and a few other techniques. We were then able to apply a full set to another colleague. I have since done a few express sets and find that they are taking me approximately 40-45 minutes at the moment but throught time i hope to be able to do the quicker (express). In my opinion i did learn a lot more but i am fairly new to lashes and have loads to learn. HTH

Meant to add, yeah the Express lashes do look good.

How are the express lashes different to a 'normal' set of lashes?(Apart from obviously being much quicker to do!!)xx

Has anyone a preference to which eyelashes they are using. Are silk better than the norm? I trained with LCN has anyone else? Im not sure whether I should undertake another course with another training provider. I use minx too - very good. Though agree it still takes a good 2 hrs for a fullish set but even then thats not every single lash. Ive been doing it on & off for 6 months.

Some people seem to post photos of their customers lashes and I think 'my god how did they get that many on' its literally looks like every single lash plus the skin has been extended! Mine all look natural but not like some other people do!

What am I doing wrong?
