Afternoon everyone,

I picked up a sample pack of the balance gel from Excel, I already had the NSI lamp. Last night I was having a play and I couldn't seem to get the finish clear to cure? Is there a special trick to this?

A friend of mine (also a technician) had said that she used finish clear cured over the top of polish / airbrushed art to seal it. When I had a go I was removing the sticky layer and again it didn't seem to have cured as the polish came off also.

Hi Louise,

Finish clear can be a little finiky to apply! You need to make sure you are applying on a dust & oil free surface, you also need to watch your application (float the gell on so you get even coverage).
You might find that you may need to change your bulb if you have had it for a while.
Do you use the one bulb lamp or the four?
I haven't heard of using finish clear over polish, it'll be good to hear if others has had success whith this also.
By the way I changed over to glaze'n'go becouse I found the finish clear so hit and miss.

i also have problems with finish clear.i always seem to get holes in it.i do wipe the dust of with cleanse first but it still doesnt seem to make any difference.ive just bought a new pot but i dont want to open it at the moment untill i can solve the problem.
i have used it over polish and its been fine.
i would think that its because of your lamp why its not curing properly though.hth

Thank you everyone for your replys,

I ordered new bulbs just before I brought the kit so I thought they'd be fine.

What do you mean by foat the gel?

Thank you,

Louise
