Hi, I've noticed on NSI gels (encluding the Illusion soak offs) for sale in USA on Ebay and including the shipping they are a lot cheaper than buying in the UK from NSI. Has anyone bought these gels from USA on ebay? Are they generally cheaper over in the US, is that why they are so cheap? or is it too good to be true? Many Thanks

Ebay is no place to buy professional products. The main reason they are cheaper is becasue they are being shipped illegally - nail products should be shipped by courier as a flammable product not stuffed in the post.

Also, if you buy products from an unauthorised source you will invalidate your insurance. Stick to your authorised distributor and you'll know you are buying genuine products and you'll have come back if you need it.

nail products do tend to be less expensive in the usa. thing is they are mostly made in usa so of course the cost of shipping hazardous chemicals, vat and import tax that are added by our government does raise the price significantly by the time the items get to us. it stands to reason that local distributors will have to pass these costs on.

if you were to import them from the usa, you would be liable for taxes just as your uk distributor is. and dont forget you will have no backup or help from your distribtor should there be any problems for you.

I'd say never get pro products from ebay. For one thing how do you really know its NSI in the bottle? Didnt someone on here buy some liquid and it turned out to be coloured water? You really have no idea what they put in these bottle or if it is the right products. Buy from a real distributer. End of the day its chemicals that can cause problems if not used correctly. Your health and your clients health depends on you.

ok thanks for all your comments guys - I'll steer well clear. I love this site and all the helpful people on it. :)

glad you have decided against it, its just a risk not worth taking.........you have no idea how long that stock has sat somewhere, if its genuine or contaminated or even stolen.
