Hi,just came up with a brain wave , just wondered if anybody else does it,and wether it would work ,but when applying nail varnish could you put a uv sealant on top instead of a top coat polish, so the nails are instantly dry?

i have done this but only on myself as i was nt sure how it would last.i used perma gloss or finish clear and they both seemed fine.
i havent used glaze n go over over a full polished nail only one that i have painted a pattern on and it did work fine for that.x

I'm sure I remember reading somewhere on here that if you put a uv topcoat over nail polish before it has fully hardened it would stop the polish from hardening properly. I suppose if you wait for the polish to fully harden it rather defeats the object doesn't it  I had a quick search and couldn't find the thread - maybe someone else who remembers it can.

I have used glaze n go over nailart (using the Konad nail stamping kit) painted over gel or l&p and it was ok, but obviously it only involved a very small thin amount of normal polish for the design.

glaze and go is a uv topcoat for acrylic or gel nails the polish does not set and causes the glaze and go to crack

i have just bought thermasheild from NSI as this is recommended to be used over varnish and set under uv heat

My tech dries the polish using the fan function of her UV lamp for 8 mins, then seals with a clear gel. The lamp is from IBD and it's called something 5000.
