I'm training with young nails, so at the minute only using their products, but when I'm finished training. I don't know which is better??
I have a sally's card. and I know Sally's sells NSI L&P but not young nails, so thats probably the cheaper option. but which is actualy better? or is there no difference??
Cause my young nail's trainer said NSI stuff isn't good. but shes obviously going to say that.. I'm just in a bit of a pickle. and don't want to buy the NSI stuff.. and my nails turn out really bad.
So if you all could let me know what you use and think is better that would be fantastic :D:D

Thankyou

Hi Amanda

I have been using Yn products for the last 5 Years now and have never looked back.

As I have said many times before sometimes you have to try on lots of shoes until you find your glass slipper. Which means you may need to try other products to find the one which works best for you.

Either way the best way to get the best result from your product is to do the training recommened by the supplier.

wow my Sally's does not carry NSI at all........ umm I would recommend you get a free sample of nsi or at the most if you can't get a free one buy a trial. I decided to go with YN but honestly if I can not get the ratio down better esp. with the pink I will switch to NSI after I use all my YN. I did notice that the NSI was not so fussy about ratio and you do not waste so much liquid as with YN they tell you to get your bead then wipe excess liquid before placement. JMO but hope this helps.

Hi Hun,
Phone NSI and buy a trial pack.
I use NSI and Creative........I am using up some Entity, I thought I would give that a try too. It is fine, but I am between NSI and Creative, I am always going to stock both, so depending on the client some do have their own preferences then we decide which is best for them. I can work with either of these.
Young Nails I have only tried their gels, they were OK, but again I trained with NSI Balance gels and have done Creative Brisa Conversion, I love them both.......But I think Brisa is my fav in the gels.
Best wishes
Lotsa luv x   x

Are you sure?? I would be very very surprised if Sally's was selling NSI!!

Anyway, regardless of that, why would you train with one company and then switch to something else because its cheaper??

Not L&P systems are the same.

I use both CND & NSI as i like different things about both of them. I have never seen any NSI product in Sallys.
I wouldnt go with a product because it was the "cheaper option", and have never thought of NSI as a cheaper option, it is a good quality product.

I didn't mean i would just start getting NSI cause it's cheap. I was just saying it is the cheaper option.

And cause I train with young nails as it is the best to train with I was told also I havn't heard of an NSI near me. and yes the sally's near me does sell NSI. :)

Hi,
I have not seen NSI in the Sally's near me, but they do sell it in Alan Howards, at the same price as the NSI website and NSI stores. Handy if I run short of something.
Lotsa luv x   x

Unless you have some training with nsi, I would say you will be likely to struggle with getting your ratio right etc and will be unlikely to get the best from their products.
You are training with yn, learning all the in and out of that product line and I think you would be best to stick with their products whilst you settle into your industry, give it six months before you start to look around at other products, further training. You shouldn't have any problems getting yn products they have on line shop and phone ordering and the delivery time is just as quick as all the other big names.

I am an old girl amongst all these young things here and have been a nail tech now for a long time, 12 years or so. I have tried most of the larger nail systems, including CND, NSI, The Edge and ONS and trained with a few of them. I had settled for CND until I, very recently, tried Young Nails. WOW!!! It is so easy to use, is really smooth to apply, is a great price and the customer service is second to none, there is also a great range of glitters etc and wonderful training DVDs that will inspire you!

Yes, I would agree that you need to try others but I don't think that now is the time to do this. Master your art a bit first and be confident that you are producing good nails and that your prep, which is about the most important thing in nail application, is the best it can be. Then you will be able to judge if any other product is better for you. It is not easy at the beginning and you will not know if it is you or the product that is causing you any problems.

You have chosen a great product so stick with it for a while. You will waste so much money and run the risk of confusing yourself, trust me I have done this and am speaking from experience.

I wish you all the very best in your new career!
