Hi:)

I just had a few questions about the NSI pink powders..

Does anybody have any idea why I find it easier to work with the classic powders rather than the attraction??

Also wondering which pink is best for coverage?? Is purely pink opaque enough cuz I dont like pink masque too much. Its too much for my liking...

I think you find the classic easier because it's what you are used to, I can't stand it but love my attraction:hug: Maybe have a word with your educator about doing a half day 121 training so as to come to grips with the difference between the 2 products?
I don't like the pink mask either far to fake:Scared: but somewhere on this site is a tutorial on custom blending, yes its for CND but the way colours work together is the same what ever the brand, so I use CND as my guide and work out a custom blend with my NSI colours using pink mask as my base.
So long as you remember to write down your recipe for the different blends you can't go wrong with getting just the right blend for each client.
Hope this helps hun:hug:

Thanks:)

I have been practicing with both powders because Im trying to feel out different products and figure out what I like best. Theres just something Im not liking about the attraction:irked:

Do you find any difference between the attraction liquid and the universal?? So far all I notice is the attraction smells stronger.

I dont think its possible for me to get time with my tutor:cry:

I've never used the universal, as for the smell, can you get scrub fresh where you are? Its a cnd product and Gigi showed us that if you moisten the pad that you wipe your brush on with it, it cuts the smell down a lot. Also get into the habit of keeping your dapan dish covered.
Did you train with NSI or a collage?
Not that it matters, in your shoes I would contact NSI directly and book some 121 training with them. It really does make all the difference, not just when coming to grips with the product but also to have an educator focusing on you alone to show you all sorts of little things to change slightly that improve your nails.

Susie H, you said that Gigi showed you that if you moisten the pad you wipe your brush on with scrubfresh, it cuts the smell down a lot.

Can you please advise how and why this works?

thanking you
Andrea

Hi just found and answered my own question:smack:
posted from "tricks of the trade" from Gigi

"it is a fantastic trick I teach to everyone. So simple .. so effective ... what a difference it makes.

The trick: When you have finished sanitising your clients nails using your ScrubFresh and a gauze pad .. Place the gauze pad on your working side and if and when you need to wipe your brush as you are working, always wipe it on the damp pad.

Why? The slight dampness on the pad 'draws' any excess liquid INTO the pad and traps it there.

Wiping on your paper or a dry pad just spreads the liquid out more and increases the odour.

Put a drop of water on a dry tissue and watch it spread out!! This is what monomer does on dry paper ... suddenly a small spot of monomer becomes a huge spot of monomer, stinking out the work area.

Using the damp pad with ScrubFresh as your brush wipe also makes sure you are wiping in the same place every time and not leaning on the paper, as you work, where there is unreacted monomer.

How many rashes have I seen on the wrists of nail technicians who do that over and over again!!

i agree that you may find the classic easier just because you are used to it.i also used the classic to train with and still find it easier but i still love the attraction as the colours are much nicer.
ive got a pic in my album of some nails i did using the purely pink masque powder and i love it,the colour is much nicer.:)

Geek-bay is no more hun:cry: and even in a blog you are not allowed to say you have stuff to sell:cry:
However if you are in need of stuff you can say in your blog that you need xxx items and if anyone has some to sell you they can pm you.
Otherwise advertise on the beauty guild web site in the classified adds.
