anyone used them??
i currently use NSI acrylic and gels. a client asked me yesterday if i did coloured tips as she'd like some for xmas. its something ive thought about doing but not properly looked into it. i want to offer it my salon before xmas but im just looking at the different options. do people use tips or coloured acrylic?? or could i sculpt clear acrylic then paint coloured gel on the tip? there so many different ways, just dont know which will be right for me....

thanks in advance :)

I would use the coloured acrylic it will save you time in the long run. If you use tips you are never going to find the excat colour acrylic as the tips, in which case you might well have used clear tips.

So coloured acrylic is my way of doing things...just my view xx

if a client wanted coloured tips i would do the enhancements in my normal way being applying natural tips sculpting etc.. and then i would apply a coloured gel just as if i wanted applying brush on white for a french manicure.
you can also use coloured acrylic but i find that most my clients would rather i use gel as its easier to remove as i dont clip off the free edge and sculpt a new one.x

i think im going to go with the coloured gel tip as i already have gels. how much would you charge for doing a full set of acrylics then a coloured gel tip? i charge £24.50 for a set of natural acrylics...

i would probably charge the same as i do for a french manicure as its the same process but if they wanted glitter then i would charge extra anything up to £5.x

ok, thanks very much :)

What do you mean by that - I'm not following?
sorry for not explaining better.
some people will apply acrylic in what they call the reverse method meaning that they do the pink first, make a smile line with the pink and then apply the white butting it right up to your ready made (pink) smile line.when the client then come for a rebalance some people instead of filing down all 3 zones and reapplying the product they would cut of the white free edge re shape the smile line then sculpt a new one back on if that makes sense? although this way works very well i do not do this method as my clients wouldnt like the fact that it means there nails would never be a natural nail overlay but this works for alot of people as they dont like to see there natural nail underneath.
there have been alot of threads about these methods so im sure if you do a search you'll find lots of info that may help explain it better than me.:).xx
