I know, I know, go see a doctor ;) It's not actually that easy where I am, but I will do so if it continues....

2 days ago I woke up and all four fingertips of my right hand were numb. I assumed that I'd slept on it funny, but even though I worked all day it didn't go away, it was still there this morning, and as we speak hasn't got any better. I am in no pain at all, just numb and tingling... Does anyone have any ideas what it could be?

As I live in a foreign country that has no "GP's" as such, I'm going to have to go privately to a specialist.... It would be a start if I had an idea of which kind of specialist I should see...

Thank you! x

sounds to me like a trapped nerve,i had that problem a while ago and went to see my doctor, who checked it out and told me to go n c a physio(cuz i had pains in my wrist too).
still get it every now and again but it isn't that bad now.
hope this helps.

Possibility of carpal tunnel syndrome or even tendonitis in the elbow--had them both with surgical corrections followed by physical therapy. Had to see a "hand/arm" specialist in the orthopedic surgeon field. Of course I then followed up all that treatment by tripping over my dog and shattering that arm! Now it's missing too many pieces to put back together again. LOL! I laugh because there is nothing else to do!

Aw bless ya hun!! You sound as accident prone as me, lol!

Still numb today... My parents are visiting me this week from the UK so I have a few days off work. Gonna see if things ease any when I'm not working.... I had thought of trapped nerves and carpal tunnel, but the fact I have no pain made me think it wasn't gonna be either of them.... Actually had a couple of mishaps in the last few days, knocking things over, spilling nail enamel, just general clumsiness with my hand.... Starting to worry me a bit to be honest!

Hi

I've had carpal tunnel corrected in both hands, at the same time  didn't really have pain just numbness in fingers and loss of sensation.

Hope you get it sorted soon.

Carole xx
