I was just wondering whether I am the only one who has not yet received my NVQ Level 2 Nail Services Certificate, we were told they would come through the post mid August, but so far nothing has arrived.

Joan

I also have not recieved my certificate! I spoke to my tutor tonight and she said that they do take their time sending out the certificates. Its bit of a pain really as I can't get insurance till my certificates arrives! She said she has known pupils that get their certificates end of September! :irked:

Hi guys, i completed my vtct beauty specialist diploma in june, i have been told i will not be recieving my certificate until febuary!!!!!!!!! its a backlog apparently  i wont be holding my breath!

God I recently did 2 VTCT courses & was hoping the certificates would't take that long but some people have also said it could take at least 3 mths, its really unbelieveable. :( Will keep pestering for mine though!!

Hi,

My lecturer said not to expect our certificates before October, but I got mine in the post Saturday so I wouldnt of thought it would be much longer till you get yours.

hi there
i finished my course in may and was told to expect the certificate in september ,

Coz I don't think we can get our insurance if we don't have the certificate to show.

Don't worry guys when i qualified they told me the same thing you will will get them sometime around october and november and probably by recorded delivery as well. I don't know whether you know this but you can start trading without you certificate as long as you have got proof from your college staing that you have been passed. i know i did

don't worry ther wil be with you soon

I believe you can still get insurance while you are waiting for your certificates to come.

I have got my insurance through professional beauty direct and they state they you need to ensure you are qualified and dont ask to see your certificates before you set your insurance up.

I have insurance with BABTAC and qualified in June for VTCT in Nail Treatments 2, i got the college to write me a letter to say that i had qualified so i could submit this to BABTAC, then send them copies of my certificates when i get them. They are happy to do this. At least you can trade knowing that you are fully covered. I think college said that out certificates are ready sometime in ?Sept.

Havent yet recieved mine i thought they had forgotten me i completed my course i June!

i finished my course in june 2.
it is a bit on a pain tho aint it

Thanks, I am glad to know it isn't just me, I was getting a little paranoid that mine had got lost in the post, If I wait patiently it may arrive soon.

no they wouldn't got lost inthe post they normally get sent by recorded delivery so you have to sign for it

Its always this way with VTCT, every year they say 'Certificates will be issued in August' and every year we hear 'There's a backlog and you won't get your certificate until the end of time' You'd think that at some point somebody in charge over there would say 'hey, you know what, every year we have a backlog, let start sooner or get more bodies in or change the way we do it' but no sadly we just have to grin and bear it.

Guess what, i'm waiting for a VTCT certificate from a course which ended in June and the certificate was going to be issued sometime at the beginning of August. Last year my certificate didn't make an appearance until February!!

I have never had to wait til Feb for any of my certificates however usually its been mid September when they drop through the post. When you think how many people in England qualify this same time of year you can undertand why it takes so long to get them all printed and sent out.I know its horrible waiting for them but believe me we have all been there. You have passed your qualification so there's nothing stopping you from getting your insurance and getting out there in the big world. It's a pain but a sad fact of life.

Don't be to sure as I had a certificate lost in the post & had to have a duplicate sent, never got a recorded delivery one:irked:. Was really gutted to have to have a duplicate as they won't redo them:irked::irked:. Suppose its still the same but still makes me worry now when waiting for certificates!! So if you haven't heard in say 4wks give them a ring!!

I have to say that Recorded delivery wasn't even an option for me when I got my certificates. We always filled our details in at college. The certificates get sent to the college and then sent to us I think.I remember seeing the name of the college printed on the envelope.I have never lost a certificate in the post but guess there's a first time for everything.

I am chuffed, big style, My City & Guilds Certificate arrived this morning by Recorded Delivery.

I am officially qualified, it is only a shame that Mum never got to see them she would have been so proud, oh no here come the tears again.

So I am officially qualified in

Ensure your own actions reduce risks to health and safety in the workplace
Fulfil Reception Duties
Promote additional products or services to clients
Develop and maintain your effectiveness at work
Provide Manicure Treatment
Provide Pedicure Treatment
Extend and Maintain Nails
Provide Nail Art Service

One question which may seem daft but I have never had an NVQ before which certificate do you frame I have one which is Certificate of Unit Credit Towards NVQ Level 2 Nail Services and the other is
National Vocational Qualification Level 2 NVQ in Nail Services

Which ever or whatever, I am really proud of myself I did it.
