Just wondering if anyone was about to start this in September?

After lots of umming and ahhing I finally decided that I would take the level 3 and I start on 12th Sept!! Can't wait. :green: And the best bit is that the years course covers all level 3 aspects - body massage, tanning, aromatherapy, Indian head massage, facial electrical and A&P. It's going to be a hell of a year with lots of hard work but I'm really looking forward to it now.

It would be good to share the journey with another geek or to have any halp/support from those who have already survived level 3!!:lol:

I'm not starting this September but have been there! It is hard work :eek:but well worth it, you won't regret taking the plunge!

Good luck, I wish I had this site to help me when I did level 3:green:

I'm sure you will get lots of help and support from other geeks:hug:. Let us know how you get on!

I agree with dellaznailz it is hard work but definatly worth it. Good luck :)

Good luck hun, Im not doing level 3 beauty, but I start level 3 nail technology in Sept, so I klnow how nervous you feel!:)

Hi Debs,
you have definately made a good investment for your future, as you say, hard work ensues but def worth it.
Best of luck, here if you want advice etc xx:hug:

ooooh, good luck! i'm doing level 3 Spa therapy which is body massage, electricals, setting up spa facilities, performing spa treatments and A&P...CAN'T WAIT!!!! most of all to have a massage everyday....mmm..heaven! keep us all updated with how it goes! :D

I just finnished my Beauty Therapy NVQ 3 Body Electrics before the summer holidays and even though i found some of the treatments horrific i enjoyed it loads.
Good luck and keep us posted.

I am doing Level 3 holisitcs which includes body massage, aromatherapy, indian head massage and reflexology. Can't wait

It's damned hard work but as others have said so worth it.Not just because of the qualification itself but the deeper knowledge that you gain of the human body and the more specialised treatments etc.

I can honestly say that I was quite taken aback when I started as I thought level 2 had covered most of the A&P,my goodness how wrong I was but it's great when clients ask you questions and you can answer fluidly, without hesitation.

I am proud of gaining my level 3 qualification, especially as I think it shows clients that you truely are dedicated to the industry and have gained the highest qualification available in the field.

Sorry to waffle on and as others have said if we can help you know where we are.Enjoy your course chuck.

I don't want to disagree with you babs, but NVQ3 isn't actaully the highest qualification in the field, There is also a Foundation Degree in Beauty And Spa Services and also I heard about an NVQ4 in beauty which is more about management (not sure about the latter though as I don't know anywhere that offers it!)
So NVQ3 isn't necessarily the end of the line!
xx:hug:xx

Thanks Theresa
Do you know if it also includes electrolysis?

Thanks Theresa
Do you know if it also includes electrolysis?

Think that is normally a separate unit but is normally covered (may be an optional unit) on level 3 I believe - good luck!

Hi there, Im doing my NVQ in Sept and really looking forward to it maybe we could share the highs and lows,Im doing mine in the evening though, you?Teresa

Hi, I have done level 3, its hard work, but its fun. As long as you keep up to date with all your work you'll be fine. Some of my friends got behind and they really struggled.
I live on the Isle of Wight, its a bit different down here, on level 3 we learn Sweedish body massage, facial electrical, body electrical, Epilation, and Artificial Nails (Acrylic, gel, silk and fibreglass)
This September (tomorrow actually) Im starting Holistic Therapies level 3, I'll be learning Sweedish body massage (which I already learnt on Beauty level 3) Lymph drainage, Neromuscular, Aromatherapy and Reflexology. Im really excited. I think I will find it a little easier because Ive done so much A&P on my Beauty courses.
