I am planning to work as a mobile nail tech but would also like to occasionally be able to do clients in my home. My landlord has just ok'd this today :). I will have my own insurance. Do I need to tell the house insurance aswell or would I be covered under my own?

I will not have a room dedicated for this as I plan for this to only be an occasional thing where it suits the client to get out of their own home, although I will set up my desk in a private area of the house etc and offer a professional service.

Do you think this is ok?

Is there anything else I need to consider when doing this type of thing?

Thankyou

I contacted my insurers to let them know I would be working from home. Some insurers charge extra so im told.

I think that as its only an occasional thing its not so much of an issue. If you were setting up a dedicated room with intentions of running a fulltime business then there is a lot more to consider.

Good luck with everything.
