Hi All!!

I recently set up on my own renting a room in a hairdressers and I am slowly building up my clientelle but it is slowly. I started off with a 20% off first treatments with me offer and 99% of clients have returned. Now that summer is coming i want to offer something else, I just wondered what your suggestions would be or what offers you are currently running for inspiration.

Thanks :D

Rather than offering money off, why not give clients something extra for free? I don't know what treatments you do but maybe choose something that's quick so it's only 10-15minutes of your time and that doesn't cost much in materials. It's a good way to expose clients to other treatments that maybe they wouldn't think of trying otherwise - and you still get all of the money you'd normally charge for whatever it is they wanted in the first place....

Just a thought - I'm rubbish at promotions but if I did one that's what I'd do

I have done a "Happy Hour " ( 2 x 30min treatments for £20) obv price depending on what your usual prices are, i did things like mini mani and pedi, eyelash tints, half leg wax, brazillian, back massage, express facial, brow wax including tint. it worked really well for me and the clients seemed to like it because they could choose which treatments they wanted to have.

Oooo... happy hour.... what a lovely idea! Sounds like the kind of thing clients would go and tell their friends about; well done!

maybe offer a discount on gel toes if they have fingernails done. more interest in feet when its summer.

or what about a discount on a nice exfoliating body scrub in conjunction with a tanning treatment.

If you have got lots of clients on your books, then why not get them to recommend a friend, when the friend comes, the other gets a £5 or £10 voucher or a percentage off a treatment orwhat ever you want to offer. When the 'friend' comes in offer her a £5.00 voucher off her next treatment, but always put a minimum spend.

Pedicure with 'free foot masque' has gone really well this summer and clients are happy to come back for this as a full price treatment. I promoted this with a manicure and it only took 10 minutes extra!

For every facial, I have offered a mini back, neck and shoulder massage, or even put a few treatments together at a package price. Sizzling summer deals, just grab their attention, any new treatments coming in, or a make-up night? Hope this helps.

Maybe you could work with other companies on giving a discount just as an example those who come to you would get 5% off hair extensions from another company or something?

Just an idea?
