Can you use any oil under wax like grape seed oil? And can this also be used at the end to remove any residue or does it have to be a specific oil?

Yes you can use any type of oil.

As you only need a very little amount under your wax the lighter the oil the better and just blot with a tissue to remove any excess.

After waxing I apply the oil to remove any residual wax and then use a clean strip firmly to pick up the wax bits and also to remove the oil before applying any post wax products.

I too use grapeseed oil - usually buy a 5l bottle and use it both for massage and after wax. I use the same method as above. Nothing worse than leaving ur client covered in wax residue or soaked in oil.
