I say s-cone, yet i've never eaten one!

'Scon' sounds northern.
 
So here I was feeling out of place cuz I say scone like 'bone' while everyone around me says it like 'gone'. (I'm American dammit! thats how we say it!) After reading through this, I don't feel so out of place! :lol:
 
Don't care how you say it, as long as there's clotted cream, strawberry jam and NO SULTANAS!!!!!

I always think its bone but i can never bring myself to say it, so i always say gone!! My nana randomly goes 'posh' with the word book (i think it may be a welsh thing!?) and i have to stop myself from laughing so i just think of that when i go to order my tea and scone!!
 
Scone as in bone... its cone with an 'S' at the beginning... we wouldn't go saying... why look at that 'con' in the road would we ;)
