Ombré nails

Hey guys, I want to do ombré on people's nails with a sponge, it doesn't seem to agree with me. The the moment I'm using a brush with Gelish to do it but I want to use 4 colours. Do I need to use a certain polish or sponge. Iv tried using normal polish with make up sponges on top on cured white Gelish. Any anyone help?

Hey there are you using Gelish to do the ombré? I do it a lot with good results. I use the makeup triangles and blush my colors across and kind let it soak into the sponge. You don't want to squish it onto the nail either. Oh! And use a skin barrier I have the bliss latex barrier then you won't get gel polish on the skin! I posted two pictures of what I mean.... Btw I use OPI gelcolor for everything.
