hi everyone, I am a skin geek and mostly do holistic therapies.

On tuesday I ventured into the big scary world of nails by doing a basic manicure and paraffin wax course.

My aim is to provide a natural nail treatment alongside my holistics and facials.

I also did a Gena pedicure course few years back, but have never done anything with it.

So, I am now faced with the enormous task of buying some products!!!!

I really want to start off basic, ie a cuticle cream, cuticle remover, massage cream, base and top coat.

I will eventually build up to getting more stuff, and like the idea of doing hadn and foot 'facials' eg exfoliate, mask, etc.

So, where do I start. I really like everything to match, so don't want to buy lots of different ranges for products.

I have been accepted on a place in april for creative spa mani & pedi course if I decide that I like this nail work, but at the moment, don't envisage it being a huge part of my work.

btw, I really like natural, really like buffing rather than painting nails.

I really appreciate your time and going gently with me.

Well loads of us love our solar oil, and I noticed last time I was in the one stop shop that solar oil is now a full range of mani and pedi products, in my opinion the value for money is very good but you do need to love the smell of bake well tarts:lol: almond oil is one of the main ingredients. I'm going to be doing the rounds at excel before I buy, but fully expect to come home with this range.

I quite like Cuccio The Professional choice Their papaya and green tea hand massage cream and cuticle oil smell lovely!

I'm a big fan of Essie products Perfect Nails, so use them for the majority of my mani stuff.

I do though use Solar Oil (Creative) which IMO, is the bees-knees of cuticle oils.

Boy-o-boy Ann, are you going to be confused by the time lots of geeks have posted on this thread!!!

I have used various manicure ranges over the years. I started with Jessica then moved on to Creative as I took on their ranges for my enhancements.

I currently flit between the Creative ranges and the SpaRitual range. Although all my varnishes are Creative but I do find that some clients dont get results with the Toughen Up so I also can offer the SpaRitual Protein Boost or Nutri-Thick.
