I have just had a phone call from my in laws neighbour asking for a deluxe pedicure on Saturday, now this doesn't sound to bad, until you realise........ THIS IS MY FIRST CLIENT!!!!! and I don't have a pedicure bowl yet!! I told a little white lie and said mine wouldnt be delivered by then, but truth is I havent found one yet!!! Does anyone know where I can get a nice, mobile pedicure bowl from????? She has said she will be happy to improvise, I have children and she mentioned babys bath, but I want to look the part and have a professional image from the start!!! To make it more nerve wrecking, the second I hung up the phone, her daughter rang and asked me to do a Shellac Spa Manicure on her at the same time, so not my First client, my first clientS!!! Ohhh!!! here come the butterflies!!! xxx

plastic washing up bowl , cheep, can disinfect easy , light weight , fits all feet sizes, can color code it with your towles and products :)

Or how about a foot spa-just the normal ones you can buy off the shelf. Thats what I and many others use-looks the part and is not too expensive.
Just think that once your done, all other clients will be a doddle. Enjoy yourself it'll be fun :)

I have half a dozen different types. Some are those galvanized party ice buckets (they have clear plastic liners that are handy), a couple are big ceramic serving bowls, one is a big stainless steel bowl and then I have a couple big frosted glass bowls that one would normally float candles in. I keep them in a cabinet wrapped in plastic and the clients like seeing me take a new one out for them. They are easily disinfectable, cheap and look nice. I use polished rocks that I keep heated in a crock pot in the bottom of them. And it feels great to squish your feet in. I got some in Home Decor stores and some in chain department stores and a couple online.

I know I'm only a newbie, but for pedicures I bought a foot spa straight off the shelf and the clients I have used this on love it. They find the settings and warmth relaxing.

Good luck with your first clients, once you get them out of the way you'll be ready for anything. Fingers crossed for you.

Have you tried those like rubber buckets that asda are selling at the mo.

They have 3 diff size mini then foot sized and a massive one the foot size ones are £2/£3 i bought 2 in pink couple of weeks back their basically like thast plasteres use...if that makes sense. It's sort of like rubber etc has handles is easy to carry etc and I throw all my thing's in it to transport em in.

I wish i knew what they were called but you might know what I mean.

If you can get to an Edge supplier I noticed The Edge do a portable inflatable pedicure bowl. I've got something very similar and it's lovely but was from Avon a couple of years ago. Almost like a teeny tiny paddling pool.

Sorry, just to add, I was in Capital when I saw this one.

I saw that one too and less then a fiver I think... Can you carry them with water in? I wasnt sure so didnt buy

I like the look of the one in Ellisons catalogue, can't remember what it's called but in comes in various colours and has disposable liners in it.

The Footsie bath is excellent and the disposable liners are great, especially for mobile when you might not have the time to disinfect the bath before going to your next client. I'm home based but stil prefer to use them as it gives the clients the confidence of your importance on sanitisation etc. The footsie also has a heat setting which keeps the water warm throught the service, I found with other spa baths the water was cold by the time you were finished. hth.

Thank you everyone, I decided to go with the Footsie bath and ordered it this morning. I cant wait now!!! And the clients have tripled, I now have 6 bookings and I havent advertised yet!!! Thanks again xxx

thats fantastic well done, if you are doing pedis mobile just think about what seat you will have and how to protect your back, when i started doin pedis in the salon i used a low one and found it akward and had sore back, now i use the couch for client and i use stool at end and its so comfortable for client and me. good luck with all your bookings!

For the interest to others ... Argos sell many many different pedicure baths ... lots of choice. I've had several and they have all been good.
