Hi Everyone,

I’m a newbie and am off to do a one day NSI manicure course next week in West Hampstead. The lady sounds really lovely on the phone, but I’m nervous and was wondering if anyone had done any courses there?

Thanks very much!

Considering that manicure is usually more than a two week course in most colleges I think one day is pushing it to see that you know all the blood, lymph, bones in the arm and hand, nail physiology and massage techniques plus contra indications and contra actions etc.

You will most likely be learning how to use some products to do a manicure ... this is by no means all you need to know if you are offering it to clients as a professional service.

Hmm, agree with the one day course thing! If I am correct, the one day courses...they teach you about the basic products and routine of a manicure, but everything else you have to learn at home. I could never of done this. My course was 38 weeks long (it covered pedi, fibreglass&nail art as well as mani's though) and that was just about time! lol I didnt actually realise there was so much involved with it xx
