Do you need to do a course on this or is it like nail art and you can learn it yourself? There's a course close to me but don't want to waste time on it if I can learn it all off youtube etc

I think it's a bit too intricate to learn from you tube , I learnt basic art from you tube but have booked myself on course to do one stroke , can't wait :)

It's takes alot of practice and time and patience but I learnt it from various channels (online, tutor etc) but it is doable!

I do one stroke and love it, if your arty then id say give it a go from utube etc as you've nothing to loose apart from a bit of paint, if not then yes I would do a course, you'll learn so much on how to hold the brushes, different ways to move the brush to get shapes and how to layer etc.

I have just looked on YouTube and it looks amazing. So effective. I am definitely going to try this out. If I find it too difficult I will do a course. I love doing nail art and I'm quite arty. This may sound like a silly question....but what do you use to do it? Can you use normal nail polish, gel or is it normal paint? If you use Gel, will it cure properly? Sorry if its a silly question...any help or insight would be greatly appreciated :) xx

You need some good quality water based acrylic paint, I use liquitex for my one stroke. You need good brushes and you can get those from art shops, crystal nails or various other places.

It won't work properly if you use gel :)

Here's few of mine

Thanks Maz101

Well done you! They look amazing :) I have a lot of art brushes and didn't know what half of them were used for but now I know lol!

I will definitely invest in some paints.

Thanks again :) x

I do one stroke every day on my clients it can be used on soak off gel polish or extensions. You can decorate a candles with it or lighters or gift glasses and sell to your clients as well.

Sorry I feel like abut of a doofus... But what is one stroke nail art? Lol... I see that the technique makes the art look almost Japanese style - but how is it different to just painting? 😁

You dip your brush into 2 colours one colour on one side of the brush then the other colour on the other side it is amazing when you watch it xxx
