One Week to Go!

One week left until I am self-employed. ONE Week! Count them with me. One!

Two weeks ago I resigned from my position as an IT Manager! I am about to embark on the road of massage, waxing and website design full-time! Its very scary, very exciting and I have moments of sheer panic.

Can't wait though!!

Woo-hoo, well done and good luck to you both, Mat and Sals - I made the leap into full-time self employment earlier this year and I don't regret a single moment. It's scary and exciting all at the same time, but such a buzz to work for yourself.

A few friendly words of advice: stay on top of your accounts, don't be afraid to ask for help, and don't forget to take time off, lol!

Thx Andy! I think I'm quite fortunate in that Dean (hubby) has been running his own business for a few years very successfully so he's been through it and knows most potential pitfalls and he'll be keeping an eye on that side of stuff too - the accounts etc.

I've spent a very useful afternoon on the Inland Revenue website. Its very helpful! Just a shame you have to pay them really.
