Hey,
Had a clients mother say that when i spray tanned her daughter she woke up with one white foot and one white hand. Her daughter wouldn't come in for me to see it. I text her the night before and gave her preparation advice so she had it in black and white and my routine of spraying is always the same. I spray the feet when doing the legs and spray the hands last as i get them to do like a "monster hand shape" :) thats the only way to explain it, this is so the tan gets into the crease of the knuckles etc. What went wrong? Was this my fault? I cant understand how its just one hand and one foot.

If she's not prepared to come in and let you see it then you cant accept responsibility. Also, just because you have given the prep it does not mean it hasbeen followed! I've had it on plenty of occasions where client have not followed prep guidelines and only dmit it when their tan does not come out as it usually would, which makes me smile because they then find out for themselves the importance of their prep.
Without seeing her you just wont know so i wouldnt worry too much if you've followed the same routine usual.
As a thought though, perhaps she has slept on her side with one foot and one hand tucked under her body? Just a thought.

I allways get my clients to check their hands and feet to make sure they are happy that they look the same colour. Can't really say anything then as they've agreed they're happy with it.
It's annoying though that you can't see her and even if you did see her, you can't garuantee that she's telling porkies and messed it up herself either with the prep or after. Drives you crazy doesn't it
I've also got into the habbit of when talking to them about prep and after care and being really fussy and telling them that if they use the wrong products, the tan may not develop and so and so on...... hopefully that way it makes them more thorough and they can't blame you if something does happen.
