Online booking-with add on sales

Please bear with me as I know this is a frequently discussed topic.
The reason I am asking on a new thread is because I am looking for an online booking system, Where the client can book there and then rather than a form. But i wondered if there was such thing as a system that will let your client 'order' a retail item when booking OR an add on service is prompted.

E.g. Shellac manicure with nail art 1pm (!hour £20).
Would you like to add on a Paraffin hand treatment for £5 (1hour 15mins £25)
tick here.......

Does that makes sense? I just thought this would be a fantastic idea as we all know its so easy to add on an extra item when we are doing our online shopping:green:

Prompts to upsell (adding on additional treatments/services and purchasing products) isn't something on there at the moment, and I don't think any of the other systems do either. I guess the main reason is that payment would need to be taken beforehand.

It's a great idea though. I'm offering 6 months free use of our system at the moment as I'm after feedback like this. If you (or anyone else) is interested, just PM me.

That is a really good feature, but one I haven't seen.

I would love to have that to offer clients who book online.

Why would payment need to be taken beforehand?

What I would want is that when the client chooses a treatment and goes to book the appointment a pop up (or similar) offers the add on treatments or related retail products for the treatment they have selected to book.

No payment should be needed. *Unless it's a high cost treatment and there is a deposit required.

I was originally thinking that the product was to be sent separately, but I guess what you would be after is a 'reservation' for a product to be paid and collected in the salon.

I have recently introduced online booking and it has been a great addition. Clients don't have to be registered with me to use it, so we have had people land on our website, and just book, whether they are existing clients or not. I have though about adding a 'shopping' page on my website, but there is also a comments section when they book, so clients can add a 'please put a red varnish by for me' etc! Like the upsell idea - never seen or heard of it tho in software!

Yes PayPal can be quite painful when you see the balance after the payment,however, I do factor this into my costs and only take PayPal payments over £25

No problem - Salon Iris. I've had it for over a year now, and only just added the online feature. It has really helped my business grow - texts are cheap as can be!!! I personally didn't like the ones that take card details before you book - we're in a very small community and I felt my clients would be insulted! We had a client just book online in our first week - never been to us before. She liked that our specialist area was skincare, and she alone has covered our first years costs for online booking, with her facials and her massive skincare orders. She booked because we had online booking, and she travelled about 15 miles to get to us!

That's the advantage of the online systems - use your normal computer with an internet connection and there's no upfront cost

I did it interest free over the year, and decided that when I'd paid for it, I'd have online booking. Did originally look at a different one, but found it very basic. Any questions, please ask! Nothing to do with the company - just a very happy customer x

My Boyfriend has built my site for me which included the online booking system. Ive just asked him if he can add this on...its a brilliant idea! He said it can be done and will look into it. Hopefully i can report back telling you its increased business for me!
Im trying to think of other features that would be good to add but i dont think i can beat that one!
