Hi there

I am still fairly new to this, I am a mobile tech and getting faster and more clients each week...........

I have read loads of fab tips and pointers from you greatly knowledgeable geeks and thanks you all for that, and thanks in advance for what I am hoping will be more helpful info in reply to this........

I still practice a lot on my nail trainer and myself and my family!! and I love to sculpt clear tips with patterns and holograms and shells etc. embedded into them, but when done on real nails and they begin to grow out, you always really clearly see the new growth of the free edge at the smile line which means they don't really look that good for that long!!

I have read a lot about opaque and custom blend powders on here so that you can cover or match the natural nail bed better to suit the client and/or the particular type of enhancement they are having.

Can any offer their opion of what is available and where to buy as I think this would be a great solution to my current and many future dilemmas!!

Thanks in advance

Creative invented the custom blended manicure and they have the most beautiful coverage powders available to match different skin tones. There are 3 colours: cool, warm and neutral. 99% of the time you do not need to add anything to them to get a really good match to those with those skin tones.

Call 08452106060 to learn more and to purchase these powders you will need to prove you have a recognized certificate or education.

You will love the opaque powders, they make such a difference to the look and longevity of the nail. I had tried them before but it wasn't until I attended a course recently that I learned to control the product better to get the best out of it. HTH

Now this could be the answer to my problems!!!!
Control the product better????? I've tried the opaque powders but i find the mix a bit wishy washy ... when the nails are buffed it looks a little patchy - is this because they are harder to control than the "normal" powders???? Has anyone else found this, or is it just me???????

Because opaque powders are more pigmented, they are a little touchy when it comes to mix ratio. You may have to take a little more time in the beginning to make sure you are using the same mix ratio with each bead of polymer, or else you will get that patchy look.

Don't get discouraged. Practice makes perfect and the results can be stunning.
