I HAVE DATABASE OF 300+ CLIENTEL WITH ADRESESS AND NUMBERS I USED TO MANAGE IN A PREVIOUS SALON THAT IS NOW CLOSED DOWN.
I AM RENTING SPACE IN HAIR XTENSION SALON WHO DONT HAVE STYLISTS ONLY A AFRICAN HIAR EXTENSION OPPERATOR. DO ANY OF YOU HAVE ANY IDEAS TO HELP ME GROW MY BUISNESS ANDM MAKE IT A SUCESSFULL ONE?? OR HELP WITH A LETTER TO NOTIFY CLIENTS WER I AM AND WHO I WAS WERE I WORKRD AND WHOE I GOTR THERE DETAILS AND NOTIFY THEM OF NEW PRICES ANDNBETTER SERVICES!!!!!!1:idea::idea::idea::idea:

You could get flyers printed (with all the info you've mentioned above), send them to your client database and include a special introductory offer voucher (with an expiry date) with it.

If you took the contact details and you were previously employed, you would be breaking the data protection laws by contacting these clients.
The salon would also have every right to sue you.

Personally, I would work on building a new clientèle from scratch. If the previous clients really liked your work, then they will find you off their own back, they always do!

Just out of interest... would the same apply if the salon was now closed down or does it apply no matter what?

Yes, as they were clients of the previous salon. It would be up to the owner to destroy any previous records and client details.

When I moved salons I just put a big ad in the local paper for 3 weeks telling everyone where I was. It worked a treat!

...a good idea I read here on salongeek was given by someone I know. She suggested that contacting local schools, charities, fund raising organisations, and offering a voucher for a treatment which could be raffled was a way to profile raise. There are probably lots of school fetes and even the local paper looking for prizes to put in a draw.

If you've got their address, why not leaflet drop the client's streets. Then it wouldn't be like your contacted them personally. Prehaps put you photo on the leaflet, so they'll recognise you. xxx
